MINDWAVE - The Trippy Warioware for PC I've Always Dreamed Of

Image
I grew up with some of my favorite games being Mario Party DS, Rhythm Heaven, and WarioWare Smooth Moves, I lived and breathed the Microgame genre due to the creative freedom it offered for different games, styles, characters, and more. Having learned about this game through a Discord I was in and some friends on Twitter, I knew I had to try it. Created by HoloHammer and creatively directed by Megalo224 or Michael Herndon, MINDWAVE is self-described on their website as a "Cerebral Microgame Frenzy where you play through collections of rapid-fire microgames formed from the minds of multiple colorful opponents in this cerebral story-driven take on games like WarioWare." Upon launching the game you're immediately hit with views of the world, Blackout City, and a wavy main menu with a catchy theme to boot. When starting the story we're introduced to our main character and contestant, Pandora, waiting one of many lines packed with other contestants to get into the MINDWAVE...

Social Listening - Ghost Ship Games (Graded 24/25 Points)

Image
The brand I've picked today is the Danish game developer, Ghost Ship Games. What interested me in their product was their continued success with their game, Deep Rock Galactic, a game that I've enjoyed, and expansion into board games and publishing. I've relatively only ever heard them spoken about in a positive manner, due to their amazing community management and listening. I was also inspired by the previous student example on Stardew Valley , which helped me make my final choice. Their values are very impressive, using their publishing page for my example, they state "We believe in fair deals, equal partnerships, full transparency, and consumer-friendly business models. If people are happy to buy your game, you know you are on the right track. We believe game development is at its best when the developers and fans get to share the passion for the project. Marketing in the News - McDonalds

Image
Marketing in the News        In this post, I'll be writing about McDonald's debut of the "Chicken Big Mac" and their dupe restaurant chain they've done to help promote it. The reason I picked this article is because everyone knows McDonald's, and their promotions have massive budgets to play around with, letting them to lots of different extreme ideas. The issue right now is McDonald's has had a small drop in sales and is looking to regain control of their market share.     McDonald's value proposition is to be affordable to a wide audience, convenient and fast, and to cater to as many people as possible, I believe this advertising campaign is an attempt to cater to an even wider audience that may enjoy chicken over beef.     Starting October 10th, McDonald's will have a limited-time item alongside their iconic "Big Mac" that will replace the burger with chicken. They state that they're tapping into their fans' interest in ...

About Me! My name is Caden, I'm 20 years old and love to learn as much as I can about the things I'm interested in and see all sorts of things. I was prompted to enroll in this course because I wanted to get a degree in business and learn to market better, I'm pursuing a two-year degree/certificate in business. I'm interested in marketing because it's the area I think I have the least experience in and want to get better. Outside of college, I'm passionate about games and their development, with an interest in esports, and animals, having 4 different cats in our house. I also like LEGO! I was told to include a photo or photos of myself, so here's one from the time I met Weird Al Yankovic and another where I met Stardew Valley creator, ConcernedApe!
